Random Stuff

Carter is now crawling and holding her own bottle. She'll be 9 months old on Friday, and has two teeth on the bottom. Again, where has the time gone?

The faithful blue bouncy seat has now been put away. We definitely got our money's worth out of that one... She can now flip it over while sitting in it so - to the attic it went!
Playing with my new kitchen from Papaw and Mimi

Still lacking in the hair department. Hopefully she'll get some soon!

George's First Birthday

George turned 1 on the 9th and of course, Carter had a birthday dress especially for his party. Grams gave it to her months ago, and she looked pretty cute in it. The 9th was also Grams birthday - we hate we didn't get to see her, but I hear she had a pretty nice birthday!!

Brunch with Santa

Nonna and Pal took us all to Old Waverly for the annual brunch with Santa. The food was wonderful, and the kiddos looked so adorable in their Christmas frocks. George isn't sure about Santa - Carter is obviously too young to have an opinion. It's hard for me to believe that she will be 8 months in a few days, and George will be 1 year in a few weeks!! Where has the time gone?

George doesn't like Pal's singing Santa
at all

a good time was had by all

Carter is checking Santa's beard out

she is so laid back - the child is not afraid of strangers - that makes me a little nervous...

again, George is not a fan of Santa this year

Christmas Parade 2009

We took Carter to the Tupelo Christmas parade. I think she enjoyed it - even though you can't tell from the pictures. It was extremely cold so she had to stay pretty bundled up. I hate that the parade is now during the day. It was so much more fun when it was at night - to me anyway.

Yes, that is a garbage truck...

Carter - the Vegetarian

Our first taste of "meat" (if that is what you call it) didn't go so well. Carter HATED it. We have now tried ham, turkey, chicken, and yes - beef. She gave all of them a big fat NO.

Full-body shudder

Gag - I don't blame her.

Now, if you just pass a spoonful under her nose she will dry heave. Of course, Luke and I thought it was hilarious - we are such good parents. At least the dogs eat it. She will eat chicken mixed with apples. I believe it is mostly apples.

Thanksgiving 2009

We spent Thanksgiving in Memphis this year. We were able to spend time with all of the Kulp cousins and the Hollingsworth clan. Carter was extremely entertained by her cousins. Of course, the food was wonderful, and we all ate way too much.
