Carter at Gum Tree, May 2011
Her new favorite pastime – running from Mom and Dad…
So glad to get to finally spend some time with Gramms, Grandoc, Aunt Holly, and cousins JW, Sam, and Ruby!!!
We played at Nonna and Pal’s
We attended a Mississippi State football game (so hot)
We played on the fountain at Old Waverly
We were a duck for Halloween
We stacked things from the spice cabinet
We had a BIG Christmas
We had a BIG snow (several actually)
We enjoyed lots of outside time (even in early February)
We colored
We watched TV
We were adventurous (and not always smart)
We were introduced to the trampoline (something I said I would never do…)
It makes our hair even wilder than usual
We wore our shades on our head (wonder where she gets that?)
We danced
We wore our birthday dress from last year (just because we could)
Remember
We turned two… (bittersweet)
We danced some more
We were sweet most of time…
We have been spending lots of time outside these days. Our thoughts and prayers are with everyone impacted by this weeks’ horrible tornadoes. We are blessed to be safe when so many are not.
My lack of posting is a direct result of school starting back. Busy, busy all of the time. Thankfully, I absolutely LOVE my job, so I don’t mind the crazy, hectic days.
Carter has been busy as well! She is learning so much in her little “school” everyday. I believe the Terrible Two’s have made the debut at our home. Hissy fits occur on a daily basis:
Oh, the drama. I suppose it’s hard being 16 months old.
We have had some fun though. Carter loves the fountain at Fairpark downtown.
and she loves her Daddy!
Last week Carter was obsessed with the mouse from my old computer. This week it is this:
Yes folks, this is the Handy Manny toolbox. Cousin George has one (because he is a boy), and I knew Carter enjoyed playing with it at their house. Then she spotted it at WalMart, and it was obvious that she wanted her own. It could have gotten ugly. Thank you Mimi for buying it for her along with some really cool and fun toys for the bathtub. She loves them all, but as you can see, the tools are her favorites. For now…
I take two tools for a stroll…
It was nice of her to strap them in
And, finally, I take them with me to nap…
Strange kid.
as it was intended…
as a purse…
as a hat…
and finally, my favorite, as a phone…
We entertain ourselves anyway we can!!!!
